May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD the God of Israel, under who’s words you have come to take refuge — Ruth 2: 12

Have you ever wondered WHY in some bible stories, God had asked the people to give what little they had to HIM? This so captured my heart today…

And it ALL began with a stranger’s outrageous request….

Picture this:- When the widow of Zarephath (which actually means ‘a smelting place’) went out to pick sticks for her last meal, she had no idea of the incredible turn of events her life would take. And it ALL began with a stranger’s seemingly outrageous request, followed by an act of obedience — The widow Zarephath had only a handful of flour and a little oil that she had to make a cake for the Prophet Elijah. And God rewarded her by making sure that her bin of flour was not used up and the jar of oil did not run dry until the drought ended. (1 kings 17: 8-16)

Question: What would you be thinking if this was you? What would you be thinking of God? And how would you respond if you were to give the last ingredients to your only meal on earth before you lay down to die? Would you do the same? Imagine what it was like for her! Starving, no place to go and helpless! Yet, she was prepared to obey the word of the Lord, spoken by Prophet Elijah — She did it and she saw the Power of God and was sustained.

Remember: When we give what little we have back to GOD, whether it’s our TIME, MONEY or ENERGY, it automatically opens up our hearts so that GOD can fill us up with more. And when we give our time to GOD, we can trust him to do make things right for us and to be the rewarder of our faith.

Friends, Trust God today. Know that He loves you and is cultivating “steadfast calluses” on your hearts and hands so you can withstand trials. So “take heart” and expect to see more of His BLESSINGS in your days to come! Amen! God bless.πŸ’•

Blessings and Love…πŸ˜ŠπŸ™β€

  1. As I read, I remembered the story of the boy with the five loaves and two fish; he gave up his lunch too.
Personally, when I was in my 20’s, I sold my only guitar (I was a worship pastor) to pay a debt, only to have God give me another one the same day!
    God is indeed good.

  2. Enjoyed reading this post. I love how Father God’s multiplication is more than we could every ask or think for. Yes, I agree, He is in the BLESSING ministry and we need to live continually by faith believing He can and will bless us. Thanks for reminding us!πŸ˜‡πŸ‘£

  3. Amen, this is a powerful word of God.
β€œDon’t let what you see throw you off. God’s good plan is about to unfold. Things are coming full circle for you in the best way! ”
And right now God is sending this word to tell you He is setting you up. This will work in your favor in the end. From the outside, it might look like you’re backed into a corner, in chaos, lost, and trapped. But you are not trapped. You are not stuck. You are not in peril. You’re being set up for a blessing.
God is just using your situation to gain glory for Himself. He wants to demonstrate that He has all power in His hands, and salvation, deliverance, and supernatural release comes through Him alone.
At this very moment, God may have you walking down an unconventional path. The road isn’t straight. It is full of twists and sharp turns. It may appear that you are on the road to failure, but quite the opposite is true. This is merely a setup for breakthrough.
An unexpected development in your story is coming. What looks like sure defeat is turning into sure victory. Lack is turning into abundance. Closed doors are turning into open doors. Incurable diseases are turning into testimonies of healing. Lost loved ones are becoming redeemed witnesses for Christ. That broken relationship is becoming an example of Gods’ restoring power.
It may look like you’re down, but God is lifting you up. The fight is not yours. It belongs to the Lord and He never, ever loses.
To remind you of this truth, I’m stirring Exodus 14:13 NIV into your cup of inspiration, which says, β€œDo not be afraid.Β Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LordΒ will bring you today.”
God Bless You Richly. Thanks for your encouraging word and reminder that God with us and will turn our situation into a Blessing. Have a great weekend. πŸ™πŸ₯°β€πŸ˜‡

  4. Good word for this week. Very confirming. I’ve been praying for God to come with his compassion and kindness in my heart and he’s been giving me that towards others. As I get it, I’ve been giving it away, praying for healing for others. I’ve had such joy seeing more people healed! He’s reviving my boldness through it

  5. Absolutely and a beautiful lesson for all in this great time of need, with so much doubt being cast upon the weary by a crooked and devious world, full of contemptuous persons who are gluttons. They will get their just reward in due time but meanwhile the children of God will be spared each time they show they are not such, and are willing to lay down all they have as a sacrifice, and be trusting of all things in Him; even one’s life if it is His will. But, He is a most gracious and kind God full of love for us who will never do harm to us if we are abiding in Him and His ways which He instructs us through all his prophets and His word by means of His Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, we are as protected and insulated as anything or anyone could ever be through all eternity; He will deliver us!πŸ˜ŠπŸ™β€
Thank you my sister in Christ Jesus,
You have been so inspiring and abiding in your love of Him,

  6. Amen. Thank you for reminding us. God will always provide what we need, overflow and abundance. It’s even more rewarding when it’s done unexpectedly when we take the step of faith. I think it really strengthens our faith to know there is God, the Deliverer

  7. Amen. Very thought provoking. This precious widow took the last of what she had and fed the man of God knowing there would be nothing left for her or her son. Sometimes the blessing comes in ways we can’t begin to imagine. God bless! πŸ’—

  8. The Word of God , the Bible, proves over and over again that the Lord rewards faith when people give to him directly or to any of his children the little/ whatever we have. And there are so many examples in our lives of God blessing us to overflowing when we show kindness to fellow humans.

  9. Good thoughts. Remembering the way He blesses may not be how we think He will bless us or how we want to be blessed, as those who believe in praying for prosperity…or giving to get back. Thank you for the reminder to be obedient knowing He is trustworthy!

  10. Amen. I can testify to this. Years back when I was doing my service, I normally stored food for a day but a particular week came and things were tough so I ask my dad for money, he gave alright but it would reached the next day. When I got out of the house I stood by the gate and exclaimed “ah what about tomorrow?” I had wanted to return to my father and ask for more for tomorrow as well but I was running late and I just said “God provide” I didn’t not take my God will provide serious. It’s just normal to say but what when I got to my work, great miracle happened. God did not only provide for the tomorrow but for the week. I came home and I ask myself. Why am I not close to my God? It really great when our faith deepen in the Lord.

Thanks for sharing this post, I think the best thing I read this week.

  11. I hope this is my heart. I feel like I am really good at giving but because God has blessed me with so much. I want to also be good at giving if I have nothing at all & not cling to what I think I need.

  12. This is a message that needs to be on repeat. Especially now in uncertain times I’ve had this overwhelming need to serve others and lend my time. Sometimes lending your ear to someone is worth more than a dollar.
