GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULLNESS!

#21dayslockdownSA#COVID_19#WEAREINTHISTOGETHER

I can feel my inner-tug-of-war. Do you relate? There is a dichotomy between regular and irregular, doing and being, fearing and trusting. What was once foreign is now normality. Routine is of the past and this new dark tunnel (COVID_19) becomes a reality — My mind, a rollercoaster of emotions runs in circles a million-miles-a-second, predicting every possible outcome and situation, injecting every stat, article and news-feed into an equation that I can’t possibly equate in my head. These thoughts are spinning so fast. — What is going to happen next?

In the Old testament, if there’s one thing the Israelites needed in every.single.time of need, is a reminder to be faithful to God. Why? Because God specialises in making a way where there appears to be no way. One example of this truth in the Bible, is when He parts the Red Sea for the Isrealites and leads them into safety from an army which was running after them. As they panicked and feared for their lives, God parts the waters for them to walk through, proving Himself FAITHFUL.

So in times of plenty and need, in times of abundance and sorrow, in times of success and struggle and in times of grief and glory. GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULLNESS! Remember the same God who parts the Red Sea with just one touch is working on your behalf too. Trust Him and watch Him show Himself faithful in your life. Just reach out to him. He will alway love you, and will never, ever fail you. Amen God bless.πŸ’•

  1. Amen great word on Faith. Thanks for sharing on faith. We need in thus time in life with whats going on. I would like to add.

Those who do not have faith cannot see past the physical world around them. They are limited by their temporal circumstances and are blind to what God is doing. But those who open their spiritual eyes can see the spiritual realities which transcend this world.

Their hope is in God’s strength and in His faithfulness. In that hope they find the strength to endure. When it comes to faith, the world scoffs. Faith, at best, seems like a great waste; at worst, it seems almost suicidal.Β  Do we really want to give up all the pleasures of this world for something elusive and ethereal?

Faith is never easy. But the more convinced we are of the reality of an all-good, all-powerful God, the more our trust will grow, and the less we will be overwhelmed by doubts and temptations.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
    Hebrews 11:1‭-‬2 NLT

Have a Blessed wonderful day. Stay safe during this time. I pray for your protection over the virus. God Bless You Richly. β€πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ™

  2. What I do, is think about the fact that God has made me to be a fully forgiven, fully sanctified saint, who’s been made the righteousness of God…and every woe in life is diminished to near nothingness.
So try that, and see how your anxiety evaporates.
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ!

  3. Thank you for this. One thing I’ve learnt in this period is that God is not limited by our circumstances. He is still God with or without the things we experience and we will do better if we just spend time with him in worship and appreciation.

Worship takes our mind’s off the worries we’re faced with in the world and plants our focus on him. And that is what we need, to focus on God as author and finisher of our Faith.

  4. Reminders like these are beautiful, ALWAYS! They relate to one of my favourite songs at the moment –
    Hindsight by Hillsong.
    β€œMy God isn’t finished yet
If He did it before He can do it again
So I’ll trust Him with what comes next
For the God I know is known for faithfulness.”
Thank you, for sharing this. 😊❀️

  5. Thank you so much for this! I have come to realise throughout this event that you cannot be dependent on self! Living independently of a spiritual being even for a nanosecond can push you into a chaotic world of purposeless existence! Stay safe and healthy!

  6. Yes, well put. Over and over the scripture commands us “to remember” His faithfulness in good & bad times. That last night of Passover, with the death angel at work, was the first “Shelter-In-Place” order. Obedience was key. Be safe & healthy, dear lady. God’s grip – Alan

  7. “f there’s one thing the Israelites needed in every.single.time of need, is a reminder to be faithful to God. Why? Because God specialises in making a way where there appears to be no way.” You got it. We need reminders too – maybe this virus – to remember to be faithful to God! He does make a way when there seems to be no way. Thanks!!

  8. I can totally relate to your post. I can be fine one day, and have free floating anxiety the next. I am trying to stop and pray or meditate when this happens. I hope that starts to release me of temptation to rely on myself when I feel this way, and turn to God.

  9. Thank you GCD for your honesty. As per the comments, we can see several people share your sentiment. The inner struggle is one we ALL face, if we are honest with ourselves. While I am not one which believes God sent this virus as His judgement, I do believe “all things work together for good to those that love, and serve Him.” This will be no different. Your key to this post in my opinion, was something you already mentioned, Trust! …and that is exactly what He is looking for!

  10. Your reading of the Moses parable helps us to remember that even in the darkest times, there’s always a ‘next rung’ of that latter to pull ourselves up, that God places before us. Thanks for your blog article! it hits the spiritual spot, in these trying times. πŸ˜‰
